Air Quality Index

The air quality index is designed to show how clean or polluted the air is near ground level, focusing on five major air pollutants: ozone, particulates, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. The higher the AQI, the higher the level of air pollution is and therefore the higher the risk to those breathing it in. The AQI ranges from good to hazardous.
